Just wanted to share this. I find it to be a much more intuitive way of thinking regarding prime factorization and the fundamental theorem of arithmetic. Video goes all the way up too 2160.

Yes it shows the prime factorization for all integers up to 1260. Giving the bar of the prime numbers a length corresponding to their logarithm. This makes a given prime always have a fixed length and we can visualize the prime factorization like this.

It should be put into the context that the fundamental theorem of arithmetic entails that we can always only create a certain height with a unique combination of one or more prime factors.

Sorry noticed a typo. It only goes up to 1260, not 2160. But a second video doing 1260-2520 is almost done.

I already have on r/CasualMath and r/MathEducation. Might publish it on a more popular sub-reddit later, maybe you have a suggestion? I am making more clips actually. I will at least make 4 so it reaches the magical 5040. But probably just keep going, as I love to watch the clips myself.

I posted something else there earlier (a COVID-timeline). But a moderator told me you cannot really link to a personal YouTube-account ofr dataIsBeautiful. Which is sort of pointless, since it's impossible for them to know if someone is just pretending to not be the creator of some content just to promote it. Maybe he was just extra strict since I had just created the Redit account. I am new to Reddit. Seems interesting, but certainly has a special style and behaviour to it?

Cool. Never seen that before. Great way to illustrate divisibility. Thumbs up! And if you wanted to use it as a demonstration of primes it could look more clear if not all numbers are in waves, just the primes.
