>>12697849It depends, some are cross-cultural and may have a biological explanation - some totally are cultural. I'll divide it up, but let me know if you think I got the placements wrong
Class A - Considered beautiful by nearly all cultures (but not necessarily all individuals, people with fetishes or divergent preferences will always exist within all cultures) - cause: likely biological or for obvious reasons
>symmetry>youth>lack of major deformities (including cases of a member of one sex having characteristics of the other - beards in women, gyno in men)>cleanliness of some sort>etc.Class B- Considered beautiful by most cultures, with deviations which most likely are used signal some other quality (e.g. fatness in some cultures signalling wealth, tanning in modern western culture signalling leisure time) - widespread deviation from these norms within a culture is typical
>non-obese>little body hair in women>fair skin in women>eye or hair color which deviates from a culture's average (look it up - skin color and facial features are the inverse, and the norm is preferred in those cases)>lack of head hair loss in women>etc.Class C- Totally variable depending on culture. Individual preference radically diverges, but trends, media, and historical situation all majorly shift it
>hair texture/ style>makeup use>male facial hair>clothingetc.
