Hi Sci!
Looking for advice, due to a injuríe which might been missdiagnosed by my doctor.
Recently experienced pretty bad pain/strenght loss on my right hand + Elbow pain. The cause of this is probably a combination of lifting and gaming since this is where most of the pain occur.
Now the thing is my doctor has said for the last 8 months that this is most likely Ulnar Nerve Entrapment / Carpal Tunnel Impingement.
Now the thing that I want to ask is this:
They have so far done a EMG (Electromyography) and NCS (nerve conduction study). Ive done this Twice with tests being done on Hand, Forewarm, Elbow and Knees.
The results have been nothing and they have found nothing wrong using these two test.
Now they are refusing to do a Scan because they dont deem it "Necessary" so my question is this:
1) Are they trying to cut back in costs (I live in Sweden, so this is pretty common) by giving me bad "treatment" or analyzis.
2) Will a scan really show nothing, as my doctor is trying to tell me? As someone who is not knowledgable in biology and medicine it kinda feels like going against a legitimate doctor is hard.
3) What should I demand, and if possible what should my arguments be?
