Scientifically, how the fuck do you fight the craving for sugar? This week I started a low carb meal plan and it's kicking my ass. I feel like I'm possessed by the One Ring of Sauron. I'm fighting thoughts of downing spoonfuls of this luxury maple syrup my roommate bought. I want to stop flooding my body with sugar. I'm 20 and obese and probably already pre diabetic. I know how horrible it is for my body and future. And still it calls to me like an orchestra of drums, beckoning me, like Odysseus' sirens.
