Me and my friend were in the woods a long time ago, and heard this sound.

What the fuck is this? Could it be a magnetic or a solar storm interacting with the atmosphere and causing sound waves?
We were in the middle of the woods and there werent and large roads, train tracks or any airports nearby that could explain the origin or this sound.
What could it be /sci?
