I got the covid vaccine.
When they say 95% effective does that mean if I keep getting exposed I'll catch it eventually or as long I am not the unlucky 5% I am immune regardless of exposure?

You only get if you are in the 5% but you only find out in which group you are if you expose yourself to a lot of people or catch it.

huh?

They're like near 100% for stopping hospitalization (I don't think a single trial patient that received moderna or pfizer had to be hospitalized for covid).

Should past severe covid cases take the vaccine ?

Me, my parents and my brother/his wife got sick (one other family member died) in June.
Slight pneumonia, took tons of antcoagulants, meds for liver damage (also because of meds given while bedridden in hospital and previous self medication). Lost 15 kilograms of weight, noticeable loss in muscle mass. I'd say I was quite sick with constant pain and headaches, bones hurt. Effects lasted for 45 days including dizziness and cough. Anti-blood clot injections for months and months later.

Should I take the vaccine (I'm 33) and should my parents (67 and 65) ? Dad was on oxygen therapy.
It's likely the 2 shot astrazeneca or the china vaccine that we would be able to get. Our government is incompetent.

The info online is really poor and inconclusive. I'm not looking to do any more damage to myself, I pretty much isolate myself as is. Just looking to protect my parents if possible (the covid19 mutations and strands messed everything up). I don't actually want to take it and probably won't.

Only take the vaccine if you're either over 50 years old or if you have pre-existing conditions.
In your and your parents' case, I'd say that you're better off taking it.
Keep in mind however, that the testing proces of the vaccine has been rushed and that long term effects are entirely unknown.
Also keep in mind that some covid vaccines are rna vaccines, which is a form of vaccine that has never been used in large scale operations before.
Inform yourself of what kind of vaccines you have available and check the history of the producers of it.
