I am a software student, but all this web dev shit can go fuck itself.
I want to learn AI, deep learning, machine learning or whatever you call it.
Any good resources, advice?

In case you're serious about it, here's what you can do.
Pick a course you like form a reputable instructor. Preferable one that doesn't gloss over math or derivations. A good one is Andrew Ng's course on coursera.
After you've been hand-held through a project or two, you should start your own. Put that shit on github and try to contribute often.
You say you're a student, so you can try to do research in the area. I'm not sure how useful it is compared to professional experience, but at least you work on an open ended project with guidance from a prof or maybe some phd students.
Also, brush up on linear algebra and statistics. You've learned linear algebra and statistics, right?

go to uni and drop shortly after you copied all video lectures, assignments and so on, of the previous 2 semester on a HDD. In case you need to ask questions to a teacher use your email even if its @gmail, with a real name and he/she will answer thinking you are one of its pupils.
