i've been watching animal videos for the better part of an hour and i genuinely didn't think they were so smart

like, there was a video of a ferret trying to drag her owner to her crib so she can show him her babies

and there was another video of a sea turtle going to some humans scuba diving and asking them for help to remove a shell off her back (she even showed it with her eyes)

this may not seem much, but i genuinely didn't think that animals could communicate with humans this way
can they evolve to become like us? (i.e. talk and have rational thinking)

or maybe I'm just retarded who knows

Also look at the honey guide bird in Africa. Yes, the bird will also get honey too from bee's nests but humans also majorly gear themselves for primal rewards.
The thing is, both the bird and human in this case are listening to one another's cues.

The honey guide will show the tribesman where a bee's nest is, the men will follow the bird, get the honey, and give the bird some as a reward. The bird will go back to the tribesman again and again whenever it finds a bee's nest. What's also amazing, is how this relationship began. The bird must of observed the human's potential to cognitively and physically retrieve and overcome the obstacles necessary to get the honey from the bee's nest.
