rotation for the door. The closer the door knob is
to the hinges, the more force is required to push
or pull the door (force acts on a tangent from
the door knob about a circle made from the
door's movement). Torque increases if either
the distance from the hinges increases and/or
the force applied increases. Thus, the knobs are
at the edge of the door where we push with
small effort.
