>>12680683>Can we do this foreveryeah if only people could overcome their hubris. Education is 100% the origin of the flynn effect and yet its one of the most underfunded parts of government. Public schools in densely populated cities are often the worst level of education a person can receive and helps drive the self-reinforcing poverty cycle that creates ghettos. And Im not just talking increasing standardization, or any of that shit. Kids need classes that actually introduce them to new topics and ideas, they need curriculums that can present a variety of solutions to problems. Just forcing kids to do arbitrary math and book reports for seemingly no reason kills motivation when they're already in an institution that obviously only cares about the bottom line and not the well being of the students.
I guess we could increase IQ through other cultural means theoretically. If you could convince the masses of grown adults to actually pursue change, learning, and further knowledge, well, perhaps it could be done faster.
