Is it possible to build shoes that walk on liquid water by emitting downward a wavelength of the desired distance between the molecules to cause them to stack straight up like standing on a stack of balls?

The trick is to abuse surface tension at a macro scale, analogous to why tennis rackets can be used not to sink in snow.

I answered that it's possible, not that we have them yet. You can view these as an early prototype. It's enough to stand in water, but extra mechanics are needed to successfully walk in water.
