How bad would a sub-orbital failure actually be? Even if a few kg of enriched uranium entered the ecosystem, I can't imagine it would be much worse than the hundreds of nuclear tests conducted in the Pacific and elsewhere. Plutonium might be a different story, but the article indicates that the fuel would be uranium-based.

I think it's a risk to fly them even even in a higher orbit, idk how much radiation these things would shit but all those particles will eventually come back down to earth, though it may take a while, I'm also a retarded nigger who's wrong.

Best solution I have read is sending up several core pieces that are no-where near critical on their own and putting them into the core assembily in LEO.
It could even be designed so on reentry teh frame fails and the core pieces seperate on the way down, not great, not terrible.

Nuclear powered engines for space travel were proven in the 60s the amount of thrust they produce every second compared to traditional engines blows them out of the water. Only roadblock for nuclear is the restrictions it has around it.
