We're probably going to suddenly realize there is a fuckton more universe out there that we couldn't see. IR can also see through the dust that obscures light.
The pictures from JWST will be mind blowing once they are spectrum corrected. It will make Hubble look like a baby.
Also, there is no need to put Hubble like scopes in space anymore. They are being built on the ground and they are truly huge. Some lasers will shoot up into the sky to create "fake stars" which will be tracked by a computer that will tell the mirrors to deform hundreds of times per second to correct for atmospheric distortions. This technology exists and these projects are underway
