>>12673958if you can work alone in the first 2 years of license, then you dont need it.
The cpge give you a good structure to learn how to learn. And also you can take the tests to go the the engineering schools.
The drawback is that
-you have always work to do, so no normie lifestyle
-1 or 2 students in every class will trump all the class. Like they understand the course instantly and they do all the work in 1h right after class, while you need 7 days to just understand the latest course.
-your grades will be shit, at least on the written exams.
They matter, but for the appreciations from the teachers, what matter even more is your performance during the weekly oral exams.
-it is better to live in the dorms, you save time from all the commuting from your parents house to the lycée.
If you dont want to become an engineer, you can go to the university after your cpge and you will be better than all the university students.
Now the students in university can apply to the engineering schools too I think, and it's not based on a test, but oral interview and before this, the various grades from the university.
you can't do cpge->L3->engineering school.
The teachers put online their pdf of their lectures, so you can peek at what is needed to understand the course. If you can cram all this during the summer preceding the rentrée, you have a good start.
