This board is normally extremely unproductive with a proclivity for low quality information. That being said, there are:

a) A large number of people on this board who could benefit from the conclusions of a decentralised research/information assimilation effort on this topic.

b) A lot of smart people with the capacity to acquire, digest and communicate information on this topic.

The issue with a subject like this is that it has been absolutely infested with pop sci bullshit and lowest denominatorism. Compared to these clickbait data-whoring sites, /sci is much better suited for the task of determining actionable methods for attention span increase.
