maths and cs double major

has anyone here done a double major in maths and computer science? how did it go and what country are you in?

I strongly considered it but decided against it because I'd have to take the sum of courses from both majors, including the bullshit ones. I hear it's better in the US.

I did, and I am in US. Started as CS, but eventually took so many elective math courses that I only had to take 4 upper divs to get a second degree. I did.

Hi I'm from 3rd world (Brazil). I'm trying to do so.

I'm a CS undergrad and I took Real Analysis (got A-).
Real Analysis was way harder than Vector Calculus but doable even for a CS brainlet like me.

But in order to get Double Major I'd have to take a bunch of more courses from Math department:
Real Analysis 2, Abstract Algebra, Complex Analysis + a few Electives (Topology, Differential geometry, Partial Differential Equations, Measure Theory etc)

Many CS courses are electives for Math majors: Logics, Numerical Analysis, Graph Theory, Combinatorics, Economics, Probability & Statistics, Computer Graphics, etc.

(Theoretical) CS & Math courseworks are similar.
So I think it's achievable.

I did it. I focused on complexity theory, randomized algorithms, and embedded stuff on the CS side, and I focused on topology and algebra on the math side.
