I've seen a lot of people argue about how outside of IT and medicine we haven't had technological advancements in the 21st century but realistically, outside of IT, consumer electronics and medicine we also haven't had technological advancements from about 1960-2000. Unless it's some niche shit like improved Tetrapak manufacturing everything was around in some way in the 1950s, even lithium batteries and the aerospace technologies. Outside of biosciences, consumer electronics and IT, nothing post 1959 is genuinely new. You can't name one exception.
