However, I've been thinking about it also, and now I'm noticing other issues with it for the version with vectors.
For example knot has to be left of neg.inf.from the left, but right of pos.inf.from the right. This leads to neg.inf.left > knot > pos.inf.right, but that would mean neg.inf.left>pos.inf.right.
Again, I'm only playing with it as we go along, but i thought of two possible solutions. 1, if you can approach 0 from left or right then the same would go for the knot, no? And 2, and this is a bit more wild, if 0 is neither positive or negative, maybe the knot is too, OR the wild part, what if the knot as a true opposite of 0 is BOTH/EITHER positive or negative? That is it takes the appropriate value as needed. Would that help or just confuse things?
