>>12664071its not that they were racist assholes either, i dont think there was any racism at play lol. if you dont live or work somewhere with a huge chinese population, and i dont mean chinese immigrant i mean mainland chinese, i see how you wouldnt understand, but the chinese way of doing things is basically 100% productivity at all times, no creativity, head down and grind type work. if you do that, which i did for 4 months, they love you, especially if ur white like me cus theyre impressed a white person can do it lol. but the point is, if u dont want to work and live like that, with 0 social itneraction, 0 small talk, 0 bonding, 0 life to ur job, if u dont want meetings to be a 10 minute long list of everything u have to do and isntead be a discussion where you actually learn,. thn working in a chinese environment is bad for u. nothing to do with racism just a huge culture difference for people who grow up in canada/usa/uk/australia and those who went to peking fudan before coming over, getting a phd in maths, and making hundreds of thousands of dollars lol - its a huge gulf of experience
