It'll never get to orbit. The oldspace cucks at nasa will decide on it being launched in a traditional rocket, which will, inevitably, explode either on ignition or amidst the first minute of flight, destroying the telescope in the process

No. Telescope imaging doesn't track consumer tech. Hubble's current imager (WFC3) was designed before JWST, even though it was only installed in 2009.

This has like 10% chance of going well.

Even if they launch it perfectly and it unfolds without issue it's going to break down after few years.

The best we can hope for is that Starship works and bored billionaires start funding space telescopes to have their names in history books. Starship's size will allow far simpler designs.

And they really need to try if that Terrascope concept works.

JWST is Hubble 2.0, only it was designed to be non-serviceable due to it's distant planned orbit.

This paradigm howerer will likely be a thing of the past because Falcon Heavy, Starship, New Glenn etc.

JWST's primary science case was to study very high redshift galaxies, to study galaxy formation and evolution. Hubble is incapable because it's a warm telescope and doesn't observe at long enough wavelengths.

Because the light they're interested in is so far red shifted, it can only be viewed with an infrared telescope. This is why it has to be parked so far away and have a tennis court sized sun shield.
There are telescope projects underway that are ground based and will make Hubble shit its plants. They use adaptive optics.
