The function of the "PoC" label was meant to prompt the formation of an intrinsically anti-white coalition.
"Everyone who isn't white, you're in the club."
This is literally the entire point - forming political blocs to subvert and overpower white people.
And it worked for the most part, for now. We're starting to see it slowly unravel though, such as Democrats kicking out asian people for being too successful and disrupting the oppression narrative.
Of course, in reality, all of these different people have their own interests and opinions, so that's where the "Democrats are the real racists" meme comes from.
