Any medfags around? I got a question for you.

Basically my dad has some digestive issues and it seems like I inherited them, I took myself to the hospital a couple days ago due to chest tightness but all the tests came back clear. I started having a think and realized "Well shit I could just be experiencing the same digestive issues my dad has." Thing is though, that was 2 days ago and swallowing is still a pain in the ass, my stomach is a little nauseous on and off and there's a weird feeling in my chest that also comes and goes that feels like there's something stuck in my pipes (even when I haven't eaten recently.)

Can GERD symptoms span across multiple days? Because I was feeling fine like 3 days ago, and ever since I took myself to the doctors fearing the worst because of chest discomfort, these symptoms have now been on and off for the best part of 2 days. Is this normal? I've never experienced something like this before. My symptoms are - On and off nausea, on and off minor throat tightness, on and off minor chest tightness, more belching than usual, couple cases of diarrhea. No sweating, dizziness, pains or anything alarming like that
