What are the negative consequences of having imbalanced gender ratio favoring women?
I tried looking it up but literally all I can find is stuff on the consequences of an imbalanced gender ratio favoring men, usually within the context of China and India having too many as a result of selective abortions or infanticide.
I already know how dangerous men being unable to find a wife is for society, what I want to know is the horrors of a society where men have too many women to choose from.

Look up the social changes in any historical examples of countries after massive wars(as that's where male population loss traditionally comes from)
Post-WW2 USSR, and Paraguay after Paraguayan War(up to 90% male population killed!) come to mind

I kinda want to exclude wars because that is a bit of a big outlier on a society general, and it obviously never sustains itself for any period of time. Also instead of a whole generation just growing up imbalanced, it's a generation becoming imbalanced AFTER reaching adulthood.

Well you're not gonna find much, because biologically the male:female birth ratio is about 1.05 in favour of males; and historically the infanticide factor also favours males, since male children would be more productive and useful to a pre-industrial family/society

Women are slightly more likely to be born than men are.

Usually in families with multiple kids the children are more likely to be female.

There is about a 51% female ratio and 49% male ratio naturally.

However in countries like China like you said it is a bit different.
