The international space station has many sections that are getting too old to keep operating and unless it is totally replaced like the Ship of Theseus then it will be too unsafe to use in the next few decades. The constant flow of solar wind and micro/nanometeorites causes damage that slowly accumulates.
Without sci-fi shield technology that may never exist, are all man-made objects in space vulnerable to this?
