>>12648521Old technology. What you need is a bio-replicator. It constructs a living thing molecule by molecule from data gathered when disassembling the prototype/original. The disassembly is slow and error prone, not yet feasible for large mammals. The data storage required is problematic and expensive, the bio-robotics (molecules are currently suspended in a field of pseudo-particles that break down before damaging the unfinished copy, and guided by streams of these volatile particles in the construction process.) required are too slow to build anything bigger than bacteria at the moment. The copy dies before being finished. Since the technology is data based, a new copy can be made, so construction problems are only a cost issue.
This technology preserves everything, even the state of mind. Some day people will be able to store backups of them selves and rebuild to that state for any number of reasons. The real money will be finding out how to rebuild a person with chosen alterations, even genetic ones. Technology is much more advanced than the general public realizes, or wishes to know. People young today may see this technology become commonplace.
