Historically, a significant fraction of pregnancies were effected by rape and/or men running trains on women. Evolutionarily speaking, female anatomy would evolve to prevent pregnancies due to this, hence causing wider or deeper vaginas. Likewise, lubrication would be linked to a woman's mental attraction to her mate, leading to someone she cares about (a good father) to successfully impregnate her. This implies that males would evolve to have larger penises to have more effective rapings to impregnate women.
Piecing everything together, we get the following conclusions:
