Each force is caused by a particle. No fundamental particle describing gravity has ever been detected, and nobody knows where we should even search for one.
In contrast, general relativity cannot predict anything on masses and length scales small enough to where quantum mechanics is valid. This suggests gravity is only accurate at astronomic scales (planetary distances or planetary masses).
