Inb4 good for solar observation, any lower orbit would be. Inb4 Venus and Mercury get in between, just get to an orbit lower than Mercury's.
There is no advantage whatsoever for the other points, even L4 and L5. This theory that any object out of the L points ends up falling to one side is ridiculous. Any orbit is stable by definition in absence of other forces.
