To amass as much energy/matter as possible so that they got enough of it for the Deep Time. In a 100 trillion years all stars could be gone, so collecting that mass into a black hole and then power your posthuman civilization with its radiation is sensible. You could extend your civilisations lifespan by 10'100 years or use all that energy for space-time engineering.
