IQ is a good prediction and estimation of intelligence, but it is not your actual intelligence, and is a stand-in for us being unable to know true reality. Without understanding what is "intelligence", we can only make assumptions based on our limited human perception. It goes without saying that IQ likely promotes some areas over others, creating imbalances in true measurements when comparing peers to peers. That being said it is currently our best system to use when trying to find out how smart somebody is.
