There seems to be a coordinated effort in recent months on both social media and mainstream media to push stories about UFOs. Some of it is genuine scientific speculation, but a lot of it borders on tabloids and even disinformation.

A lot of it seems to be coming from Israeli sources and public figures with ties to or sympathies towards Israel. This includes a lot of Republicans, especially Zionist Republican types like people on Fox News, as well as the Reddit science community and people like Brain Keating and Lex Fridman. What could be the motive for this? I have no doubt that aliens exist, and I'm not averse to more public discussion concerning this topic, but this doesn't seem organic. It seems like a marketing campaign, and it's weird that it's simultaneously being pushed by conservative Zionist Republicans and social media/pop sci types.
