Is it relevant to anybody, what mathematical fantasies somebody can come up with based on inconclusive data. It gives a false sense of certainty. Real science means uncertainty and being able do understand nuances and limitations. Most scientists just write papers and there is no real value to it.
The good things are rare.
>>12632894Nah that concept is valuable to be known, because often the correlation isn’t causation. Most of the science is just trying to find, what scientist want or are paid to find. I don’t see, why average people need pop science. If they need scientific knowledge they should find somebody they trust with the knowledge or some mechanisms to ensure the one with the knowledge has strong incentives to tell them, what they need. If that fails they have no choice, but to look at the data and hope they are intelligent enough to figure things out.
