You're basically opening your mind to an avenue of feedback and conditioning that is normally strictly reserved for actual trust and intimacy. I do not believe suspension of disbelief is ever complete, things are working their way into your mind, one way or another. The other stuff about having an infinite harem, and infinite novelty make sense as well.
