>>12623328>I'll reply to your postNext time don't bother when everything you can contribute to the discussion is passive-aggressive bitching and knowledge that you probably picked up from Bill Nye.
>Cool, you regurgitated what people smarter than you saidFirst of all I put the picture and the name of the man who came up with the idea is in the OP. Why even point out that I 'regurgitated' what someone else said when I did not make that a secret in the first place? It's called providing context to people who have not heard about these ideas before. And yes, this man is smarter than me and most likely everyone who has and will post on /sci/. Why even point that out?
Did you not get your daily dose of HRT today or why are you so bitchy?
>doing a lot of research on AITesla feeding tons and tons of data to a neural network in order for it to learn how to change a lane does not bring us any closer to true AI.
>Is there some aspect of research that isn't being done that you think should be done?Better learning algorithms in the first place. While it is possible to give an AI knowledge in the form of an ontology (for example written in OWL) and infer new knowledge with an inference engine, these ontologies have to be created by a human expert in the first place.
>>12623346I'm asking: Why is it that we, society as a whole, are not actively working towards reaching the technological singularity described by people like Ray Kurzweil.
