>>12621476Strain names are basically meaningless. There's no regulation or anything. You can call your weed whatever you want. So there's a lot of "Oh yeah this is <insert popular strain here>". The "Blue Dream" at one dispensary isn't the same as the "Blue Dream" at another. That said, if you're getting the same strain from the same grower/brand, it'll usually be the same product.
Indica/Sativa is usually accurate for the "feel" of the weed (head vs body, alert vs lethargic, etc) but has nothing to do with genetics anymore. Basically every commercial strain is a hybrid of hybrids at this point. Growers decide indica/sativa/hybrid labels by having someone smoke the product to see how it feels.
