you don't round -1 to 1 you fool. it would be $3^{3 \sqrt{-1}}+1 = 3^{3 \sqrt{-1}} + 1 = 3^{\sqrt[3] {-1}} + 1 = 3^{-\frac{1}{3}} + 1 = -1 + 1 = 0$
