I actually think the mechanic you described of defending the abuser is the main reason why all of the bullshit gets to go on for so long and why nobody is held accountable.

I agree with you and I don't have a problem with fluoride, but why don't you say that about people that constantly complain about systemic racism, white privilege, and how whites control every facet of society and use their power to secretly impose racism and white supremacy on the entire world. This is actually objectively false. White people are actually the least racist racial group in America, and there are plenty of non-white people who have power and money, so clearly white people do not systematically control our entire political and economic system. Are they over represented? Yes, but who cares? Of course white people are over represented in white countries. Nobody is claiming about black over representation in Africa, so why should I care about white over representation in white countries?
