No, it only needs to allow spread regardless of virulence. This is seen with the Marek's Disease vaccine where symptoms are minimal and virulence is extremely high. If any vaccine for covid is leaky (which is expected for probably a lot if not most of them so far) but lowers or stops symptoms, then a highly virulent strain can be cultured within the vaccinated population and then infect the unvaccinated population.

I think it'd be a good idea to get the word out, but as soon as the issue reaches the normiesphere the propaganda machines will jump on it. Big tech will censor it. You're dealing with a (relatively) complex issue that the average joe won't understand. Not trying to be blackpilled, but I think it'd be good to get the word out. Thing is, who'd believe you?

I don't think it would be too hard with pic related and simple explanations that can be done within even the constraints of short attention spans, we just need to reach critical mass for awareness to where the info perpetuates itself. Attention spans are shit nowadays. Pique their interest and have them look into it themselves. Best way to persuade when dealing with a thought process that requires several steps. No way in hell normies are going to read a scientific article-even highlighted-no matter how much they proclaim that they fucking love science.

Most people literally just read headlines regardless, so we could get by with a portion of people knowing the whole picture, who perpetuate sentence length takeaways to the rest. Most of the convincing job is based on trust/perceived credibility, so we can already snatch up the entire covid-skeptical community for free, and maybe make inroads into everyone else by showing how we can potentially fuck over people who "can't afford the vaccine because of marginalization" and shit. Make it for them about how this "privileges the west at the potential deadly expense of everyone else"

I don't think whoever is in control would want to a vaccine resistant virus through a leaky vaccine, unless they're not human. Why would you want to create a super pathogen that you will be exposed to at some point if you are mixing and interacting with other people?

The vaccine is inert, it will be used as a social filter to determine who is loyal and who is not. The vaccine pass will be required to be part of polite society and the economy

I looked around and couldn't find any complete studies on whether the vaccines reduce transmissibility i.e. are leaky which is concerning. The scientific American article talks about this topic. A vaccine that reduces symptoms can still slow the transmission of the virus assuming entirely asymptomatic spread isn't as fast as normal spread. This also assumes all vaccines will be leaky which is unlikely given how many are being administered. Also consider that we don't live in giant slaughterhouses like factory farmed chicken where disease transmission is 100% guaranteed, and considered that this effect has never happened with other non-sterilizing vaccines like with influenza.
Possible but not likely and we'll have to wait to see the sterilizing effect of the RNA vaccines. Keep an eye on pubmed. I'm sure if randos on the internet are thinking about this then there are researchers somewhere worrying 10x more and doing the models up. Personally, this has made me more seriously consider getting the vaccine; specifically, whichever one is shown to be sterilizing.

-We need as many people as possible to get sterilizing vaccines to stop COVID transmission before the disease becomes too virulent.
-If it does happen, I don't want to get the disease a year from now when things are starting to open up and suddenly a new more deadly strain of covid starts spreading like wildfire.
