Linguist here with a bit of a puzzler.
When does talking to yourself, either verbally in the privacy of your own space or just imagining a back-and-forth in your own mind, yield maximum benefit to future recipients? I'm curious as to best practices that ultimately don't result in an incel approach to the learning and dissemination process of knowledge and the presentation thereof.
I ask this because there are plenty of ways I can keep myself mentally occupied without the need for external human input however eventually a self-experience has to have benefit to that which is not self, purely by virtue of the fact that there is more than just me in the world and eventually I need to drink water or perform some activity that is only possible because someone other than me wasn't spending all their time playing with the mathematical and linguistic constructs on their head.
In order to help translate my self for external parties I primarily focus on reducing any potential semantic or syntactic duplication (e.g. doubling back on a topic because I forgot an important point or saying the same thing in a different way just to double-check if my messages were absorbed and interpreted easily), and by translating domain-specific (in this case: self) terminology into common language usage.
I'm not seeking some mathematical formula for when my bucket of words is full and where is the best place to share it with others, more that I am becoming more aware that there is a need for a rapid engagement and detachment cycle when it comes to language and the distribution of refined rhetoric.
>Thoughts: I wonder if 4chan is full of geniuses that just have some sort of intellectual tourettes syndrome in which they can't help but solve quantum mechanics in a day but also have to take a big shit in the middle of the NASA launch control room in order to establish dominance.
