Because of that, we need to start counting time again. But much like we don't put a 0 between 1BC and 1AD, we aren't going to start at 0 here either. Because when we count, like on our fingers, we don't go "FIST, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE". We start with 1. Because we're not retarded.
So as we go to count our first period of time, we start by saying it is now 1YOTR (we decided to not use BC or AD, but instead 'YOTR' which is Year Of The Retard, after you).
Welcome to 1 YOTR. While most of us are perfectly comfortable with how we’ve decided to label the world, as we’re measuring what year we’re within – you’re running around autistically because we aren’t measuring the time of the world the same way we measure birthdays, because you’re intent we put on party hats on exactly the right day.
And so the first century begins, from year 1 (which we are still within) to year 100 (notice, not 99). We count from 1 to 100, instead of from 0 to 99.
