Since many users of this board are in academia, a good portion of us will end up becoming professors, TAs or school teachers. How would I go about studying education on my own? What are some good books on the subject? I see a lot of mentions of Vigotsky and Piaget, but they seem to defend a model of education I'm not really fond of (that the teacher isn't "superior", but a partner in learning, for example).
Are there any anons that study Education and also browse /sci/?
