Is it worth getting an Arduino (or anything similar) for stuff like this? When looking at the sample projects on the Arduino starter kit it seemed kind of unimpressive as compared to me just making a calculator in
logic.ly. But I guess I was hoping that I could make "useful" stuff with logic gates instead of just simplistic clocks and calculators. Maybe encoding/decoding could lead to me making stuff like digital sound processors or something?
Idk, I picked up Minecraft hoping that I could create cool contraptions with redstone but nearly everything devolves into some sort of "cool piston door" design. Which made me feel like hardly anything very useful could be created with logic gates in Minecraft (since the most useful things are often mob farms that just abuse water/lava to perpetually kill stuff).
