>>12613257>that whole first pointUtterly irrelevant, SpaceX has the vehicle to do it, only two world governments can even (barely) get people to LEO.
>being able to preventMars notices and sends out drones to divert asteroids toward Earth. Funny, there are way more asteroids accessible to a Mars colony than to Earth, and it's harder to send something to Mars than it is to send something from Mars to Earth. Earth may get some lucky hits in (assuming they can even pull off an asteroid redirect), but 10-100x that number will be sent toward Earth. And as a huge surprise Mars being mostly underground colonies anyways, asteroid hits would barely affect them while Earth is burning.
>Enemy hell bent on extinction No Marsfag seriously wants to kill Earth, that's retarded. But if Earth tried to control Mars and Martians wa Ted independence, then using asteroids and orbital killsats to get the point across WILL happen and will be ridiculously easier for Martians to pull off than Earthers.
It's simple physics. It's easier to get off Mars, it's harder for Earth to send shit AT Mars than it is for Mars to send shit at Earth, and most of the shit small enough to be manipulated by humans is closer to Mars than Earth. In a purely economic sense it will always be cheaper, resources wise, energy wise, and time wise, for Mars to hit Earth than for Earth to hit Mars.
