They're already teaching "Ethics" in CS, and what they mean by Ethics is not "Will my AI algorithm be used to kill millions of people in war", it's "Does this social media platform that I'm building give enough voice to people of color?"
If you haven't realized yet that academia is dead, I don't know what to tell you. Just look around. In many fields we haven't had progress in DECADES and there's a reason for that.
If you're worried about your children's education, just make sure to love them and incentive them to grow and adapt when the time comes, 90% of parenting is about adapting to the situation. You can't prepare for 30 years in advance, that's for sure.
