Are Udemy courses good and reliable? I got one about ethical hacking with python for free but idk if it is a big deal or just bullshit.

Probably depends on the instructor and the resources they provide. There's a huge selection of courses on there, I'm sure they vary in quality.

Jose Portilla is one of the few good Udemy instructors. On an axis where 0 is scam and 10 is MIT course, the mean udemy course is a 3, with a standard deviation of 2. There are a small percentage of good courses.
