Can you skip years while getting BSc/MSc in US?

Like you get admitted, you pass the exams/do the labs for the third year and get into the fourth year immediately?

Bump for interest. I dont think so because education is private in the us and theyd be losing money if they let you skip a year,let alone more

I'm actually from Europe and as far as I know there are programs in US for foreign student to study for free. So actually by skipping years you should be saving the school money

Depends what youre studying. In my case there are 0 chances ill score a year abroad in the us. (Medicine). Ill have to study for the usmle while in med school and apply for a residency in the us

Most uni's let you sign up for courses to your own speed, as long as the finals dont overlap in timeslots you can take more.
So less skipping third year and more taking third year courses together with 2.

You can take more credit hours than normal and reduce the time required to accumulate the number of credits in the required categories. I earned my BS in 3 years by taking 1.5x the courses for two years.

I'm an undergrad in america university getting a BA in math. I am graduating this year after my sixth semester in college (so, I'm getting a 4 year degree in 3 years.)

The way that I did this was by taking a lot of AP classes in highschool. They don't let you deviate from the standard curriculum (i.e., skip prerequisites ) in college. I know this because I've actually tried.

Depends where you go, sometimes yes, other places let you test out of courses and get credit for the course based on your grade on the exam. Few places actually allow things like that for majors

In Canada I know it's possible, you'd have to discuss it with the university though and get permission to sit exams for higher level classes. There was a girl in my engineering class that did her MSc at the same time as her BEng, she was awarded both degrees at the same time.
