>>12603867Yeah, the core classes required for most med school admissions aren't bad, but the MCAT is a next level beast of an exam that really determines who gets in and who doesn't. It's one of the hardest (if not the hardest) graduate level exam available in the US. For some reason, most math/physics dipshits think it's pure memorization, which couldn't be father from the truth. If that were so, literally any idiot who memorized years worth of material could get a perfect score. It's heavy on critical thinking and reasoning within the subjects it covers. It covers Math (basic, stats, advanced, calc, etc), Physics (pure and in chemistry environment i.e. physical chemistry), Biochemistry (heavier and heavier each year), General Biology, Anatomy, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Psychology, Sociology, and CARS (Critical Analysis and Reasoning Section)
The main point is that people who work in medicine, biochemists, pharma, and other research, all use heavy math and physics all the fucking time for their work. It isn't something that's purely focused on because it's just automatically assumed part of everything. If the difficulty ramps up in one research related to it, the people adapt. They don't just give up because "DOH, drrrr I'm just a stupid chemist who can't do no high math. Welp, I guess I'll just produce less valuable work or give up". While pure math people stick their thumbs up their asses and circle jerk each other's work, medicine is applying the math for the greater good
