And I've had experiences in person where I've started to loosen up and start talking about this or that topic only to have someone interpret what I was saying as an attempt to undermine or bolster a particular political worldview, when I really wasn't trying to do that. My frustration kind of boiled over, and I overread a sort of sophistic political approach to discourse into your comment.
I posted the above because I have an interest in Antarctica and found something about Antarctica that I hadn't known, spurred on by a video about the development of the world's biogeographic regions. As I understand it, Antarctica was in the same place as today, but my knowledge of why its climate changed is poor, and actually something I'm looking up at the moment.
I guess I'm a little curious about which places have warmed up rather than cooling down over that time frame.
