how is the integral of 1/x ln|x|, when the value of ln|x| between 0 and 1 is negative, and the area under the curve of l/x is positive on that same interval

The area is the difference ln|a|-ln|b|. But this only works when a,b are both of the same sign (positive or negative).

isn't the integral the area under the curve, in which case if the area under 1/x is positive, shouldn't the value of the integral also be positive?
