Is there still any point or benefit in submitting your DNA for testing by a third party company? Last I ever read about it was when there was that scandal of 23andMe arbitrarily screwing with ancestry details out of ideological posturing, but other than that has anything transpired from this business over the years? Have any of you taken it? Would anyone of you take it nowadays if it were free of charge (assuming there isn't a nefarious reason why it's free).
